ABUJA GRAND COMMANDERY & LAUX CELEBRATES ARCHBISHOP IGNATIUS KAIGAMA ON HIS 68th BIRTHDAY

Abuja, Nigeria, July 31, 2026 

The Abuja Grand Commandery and Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John International has extended its warmest felicitations to the Catholic Archbishop and Metropolitan of Abuja, His Grace, Most Rev. Ignatius Ayau Kaigama, on the occasion of his 68th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory statement signed by the Grand President, Brig. General Francis Ulonna Njoku, the Grand Respected President, Noble Sister Amaka Umeokeke, the Knights and Ladies joined the entire Abuja Archdiocesan Catholic Community and the universal Church in offering prayers and thanksgiving to God for the gift of the Chief Shepherd and the profound pastoral leadership he has demonstrated since his canonical installation as Archbishop and Metropolitan of Abuja on December 5, 2019. 

The statement highlighted the deep appreciation members of Abuja Grand hold for the Archbishop, particularly emphasizing his vision for rural Evangelization to the hinterlands of the Archdiocese.

"We are deeply honoured and blessed to have you as our esteemed Chief Shepherd," Brig. Gen. Njoku stated, adding "Your steadfast spiritual and pastoral guidance, fatherly wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the expansion of the faith in Nigeria's Federal Capital is highly appreciated as over 10 Parishes and 70 Pastoral Areas have been created in the about seven years of your episcopate". 

"On behalf of the the officers and entire members of Abuja Grand Commandery and Ladies Auxiliary Commandery, we wish you a Happy Birthday and pray the Almighty God to continue to renew your strength, fill your heart with profound joy, and bless you with abundant grace, good health, and wisdom and wisdom", the statement stated.

The message concluded with a traditional Catholic wish for longevity: "Ad Multos Annos, Your Grace!" , praying that his shepherd's staff continues to guide the flock in Abuja and beyond with peace and divine favour.
